BAPTISM IN JAPAN
Jesus is alive and moving in Japan, and one powerful sign of this is the growing number of baptisms in Japan, as both Japanese people and foreigners are dedicating their lives to God. At Japan Kingdom Church, we believe baptism is a symbolic act, representing one’s faith in Jesus Christ, rather than the qualifier to become a Christian. Rooted in the biblical tradition from when Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist (Matthew 3:13-16), baptism signifies that our old selves have died with Christ on the cross and have risen to new life, just as He did.
(Romans 6:4) highlights the importance of this act in the Christian faith. As more people in Japan confess that Jesus is Lord and believe in His resurrection, we anticipate witnessing more baptisms across churches in Japan, celebrating new life in Christ.
